Deadline Looms For West Hartford Dog Licenses
The Town of West Hartford issued a last call warning about dog licenses, with late fees looming next week.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local officials are reminding dog owners that the deadline to license their dog without incurring a penalty is Monday, June 30.
According to state law, all dogs over six months of age must be licensed annually.

A numbered tag will accompany the paper license and serve as identification for any pet wandering away from home.
The annual fee for dog licenses is $19 for unaltered dogs and $8 for neutered or spayed dogs.

All dogs must be vaccinated against rabies. If the rabies certificate has expired before renewal, please include an updated certificate from your veterinarian for your dog.
If a dog is being licensed for the first time and has been neutered or spayed, a certificate from the veterinarian must be presented. Once processed, all documentation will be returned.
Applications for dog licenses can be mailed to the Office of the Town Clerk, Town of West Hartford, 50 S. Main St., Room 313, West Hartford, CT, 06107. Enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope to receive your license, tag, and the return of your supporting documentation. Also, dog licenses can be obtained in person by visiting the town clerk’s office. Incomplete applications will be returned.
