1 Dead In Apartment Fire In DC
An individual has died after a D.C. apartment fire early Thursday morning.

WASHINGTON, DC -- One person is dead after an apartment fire in D.C. early Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called to the 200 block of Oakwood Street SE, where they found an apartment on fire and a victim inside, D.C. Fire and EMS tweeted shortly after 4 a.m.
In an update about an hour later, D.C. Fire and EMS reported that the person had died from their injuries.

The fire was confined to one room of a first-floor apartment.
