2 Found Dead After Fire In Southeast DC
The fire broke out early Saturday morning at a Southeast DC home.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Two people were found dead following a fire at a southeast D.C. home early Saturday morning, according to D.C. Fire and EMS.
The fire broke out in the 3300 block of Ely Place in the basement and first floor of a one-story frame house. Around the same time, a second small fire broke out nearby at a home on D Street.
According to D.C. Fire and EMS, a man and a woman were found dead on the first floor of the home on Ely Place. The victims may have suffered injuries unrelated to the fire, officials said. A large dog was removed from the rear yard of the home.
