WASHINGTON, DC -- The 2019 White House Easter Egg Roll ticket lottery went live Thursday morning, and it will stay open until Monday if you want to enter to win.

The annual event will take place on April 22 this year, which is the day after Easter Sunday.

Tickets are free to the public and must be requested through an online lottery that opened at 10 a.m. Thursday and will close at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 4. Winners will be notified by email no later than March 14. Tickets can not be sold or resold. The lottery is here.

"The President and First Lady are honored to continue the tradition of the White House Easter Egg Roll that dates back to 1878 with President Rutherford B. Hayes," reads a White House statement. "The Easter Egg Roll will take place on Monday, April 22, 2019, on the South Lawn of the White House. Families with children 13 years old and younger are invited to join the President, First Lady, White House staff, and their families for a day of festivities."
