• Former employees haven't been paid after opening of D.C. bar; owner disputes timing under law (wusa9.com) — Former employees of Rush Bar and Lounge in Washington, D.C. say they still haven’t been paid after the bar’s December opening, while the owner cites delays and disputes his obligations. D.C.’s Office of Wage-Hour Compliance counters that terminated workers must receive all earned wages by the next working day, raising important questions for local service employees.
