Amazon's Jeff Bezos Surprises DC High School: Report
The billionaire founder of Amazon reportedly dropped by a D.C. high school computer science classroom.

WASHINGTON, DC — Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos made a surprise visit to a computer science class at a D.C. high school, according to a report.
WTOP reports that Bezos made an unannounced visit to Dunbar High SchoolMonday morning to celebrate a milestone in the Amazon Future Engineer Program: more than 2,000 high schools and 100,000 students participate in the program.
The program provides funding for computer science courses in underserved communities starting in high school.

Bezos talked with the shocked students, and even the teacher seemed taken aback.
Bezos has become a fixture of the D.C. area in recent years. He purchased the Washington Post and owns an extremely large house in the city. He also chose Crystal City across the Potomac River to be the home of Amazon's second headquarters.
