D.C. Massage Therapist Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Customer

A Washington, D.C. masseur was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a customer at a massage parlor in Tenleytown.

WASHINGTON, DC — A Washington, D.C. masseur was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a customer at a massage parlor in Tenleytown. (Subscribe to the D.C. Patch for realtime breaking news alerts.)

Police charged Habtamu Gebreslassie, 24, of Silver Spring, Md. with first-degree sexual abuse Sunday.

Gebreslassie is accused of sexually assaulted a victim during a massage session at Massage Envy at 4926 Wisconsin Ave. NW. The victim told police she was assaulted during the massage at about 3:45 p.m.

According to ABC7, the woman told police Gebreslassie performed oral sex on her against her will.

Massage Envy sent the following statement to The Washington Post:

“Massage Envy requires franchisees to complete extensive background screenings and reference checks and strictly enforce our Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy to ensure guests have a safe and professional experience when they visit a franchised location,” the statement said.

Gebreslassie is no longer employed by the company.
