DC Cherry Blossoms Take Big Step Toward 2019 Peak Bloom
D.C.'s cherry blossom trees are expected to reach peak bloom on Monday, and they have just reached the second to last stage.

WASHINGTON, DC -- D.C.'s Yoshino cherry blossom trees have just reached the "puffy white" stage, the last phase before peak bloom, which is projected for Monday.
The National Park Services reports that most of the blossoms have reached second to last stage as flowers start to open at the Tidal Basin.
Some of the trees are already at peak bloom, and this weekend will offer a stellar opportunity to view the cherry blossoms as they emerge in all their glory.
