DC To Install 24-Hour Public Restrooms: Report
The District reportedly will install two 24-hour standalone public restrooms in the city.

WASHINGTON, DC -- When you gotta go, you gotta go -- and sometimes D.C. businesses aren't keen on letting non-customers use their restrooms. So D.C. is experimenting with public restrooms by installing two standalone facilities in the city soon, according to a report.
WTOP reports that the city will install two 24-hour, standalone public restrooms in undetermined high-traffic neighborhoods.
The city will go through the usual process to select a site, taking input from the community along the way.

The D.C. Council passed the Public Restroom Facilities Installation and Promotion Act, and funds from that will be available when fiscal year 2020 begins this fall.
The city will base the restrooms off similar programs nationwide, which are either self-cleaning or easy to clean.
