D.C. police jokingly countered a Philadelphia Police Department proposal as everyone waits to hear where the Nats superstar signs.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Bryce Harper a D.C. cop? Not likely, but the Metropolitan Police Department extended the offer anyway as a joking counter to the Philadelphia Police Department's own proposal.
Everyone is waiting to see where the Washington Nationals superstar lands, and right now it looks to be down to the Nats and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Philadelphia Police decided to have some fun with it, tweeting that Harper would be coming to Philly to work for $51,245 as a police officer.

Not to be outdone, D.C. police countered with their own proposal.
Nice try, Philly
Bryce Harper, we offer a multi-year deal worth $58,163 per year to start, with annual leave, paid holidays, saving plans, & other benefits in DC! #JoinMPD #BecomeMPD https://t.co/stcqjQ4QLt

It's unclear where Harper is going to end up this offseason, but regardless of which team he signs with, he is almost certainly going to score slightly better than $58,163 in annual salary.
