DC Weekend Events: Cannabis Festival, Filmfest, March For Babies

There's a ton going on in the DC area this weekend, including a beer festival, cannabis festival, concerts and more.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — It's finally starting to feel like spring. Don't sit inside this weekend! Patch has rounded up fun, interesting and entertaining events throughout the city.

  • All Good Presents… MOE.: moe. is the preeminent progressive rock band on the music scene today-a quintet of world class musicians, whose creative output equals that of their longevity. Where: Lincoln Theater. When: Doors open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m.
  • Better Off Dead w/ Swamp Donkey Newgrass: Better Off Dead is inspired by and pays tribute to the music of the Grateful Dead and The Jerry Garcia Band. Where: Gypsy Sally's. When: 7 p.m.
  • All Good Presents… An Evening with Lotus: Having built a massive fanbase over the years, Lotus tours heavily selling out headline shows across the county and playing festivals such as Electric Forest, Imagine Music Fest, Camp Bisco, and more. Where: 9:30 Club. When: 8 p.m.
  • Live Music @ The Dubliner: Head over to the District’s premiere locale for authentic Irish fare and food, for their continuing live music concert series. Where: The Dubliner. When: 7:30 p.m.
  • Filmfest DC: The 32nd annual International Film Fair runs from April 19-29 and features 80 films.

Saturday, April 21:

  • National Park Week: Admission into national parks will be free on Saturday, April 21, to kick off National Park Week.
  • National Cannabis Festival: This year's concert features a headlining performance by hip-hop royalty Cypress Hill. Expect food, drinks, vendors and more. Where: RKF Stadium. When: 12-8 p.m.
  • 2018 DC Beer Festival: The DC Beer Festival returns to Nationals Park, bringing together dozens of craft breweries and featuring spring seasonal beers. Where: Nationals Park. When: 12-8 p.m.

Sunday, April 22:

  • March For Babies: Join over 2,000 March of Dimes supporters for the 2018 March for Babies. The march raises awareness on the importance of healthy babies and mothers. Where: Nationals Park. When: 8 a.m.
