Fatal D.C. Hit and Run: New Footage Released in Hunt For Mystery Vehicle
29-year-old Arlington man was killed crossing the street on Aug. 19. New security camera images may help identify the car involved.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Metropolitan Police investigators have released new footage of the mystery vehicle believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian Aug. 19.
At2:40 a.m., David Narvaez, 29, of Arlington, Virginia, was crossing the street at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and M Street, NW. He was struck and killed by a car heading south on New Hampshire Avenue, but investigators have not been able to identify the driver.
Police describe the car as a dark-colored vehicle. The car has a light colored, possibly yellow, rear license tag. The vehicle would have damage on the driver's side hood, fender and windshield. Detectives also note that an individual can be seen in the passenger seat.
