Hazmat Incident Leads To Evacuation Of DC Building
A hazmat incident in Northwest prompted authorities to evacuate a building.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A commercial building was evacuated in Northwest D.C. due to a hazmat incident Monday afternoon.
Authorities were called to the 1100 block of 20th Street NW to a report of a refrigerant leak in the penthouse of the building, D.C. Fire and EMS tweeted at 2:12 p.m.
Authorities were concerned about the refrigerant circulating into the interior of the building, and conducted an evacuation to be safe. No illness or injuries were reported.
