Man Arrested For 2016 Murder In Northwest: Police

Police arrested an Oxon Hill, Md. man for a shooting that left a 28-year-old D.C. man dead in February 2016.

WASHINGTON, DC — Police arrested an Oxon Hill, Md. man for a shooting that left a 28-year-old D.C. man dead in February 2016.

Stephon Marquis Williams, 24, was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree murder while armed, police said.

Williams is accused of fatally shooting Jamar Morris, of Northwest, in the Unit Block of M Street NW on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016.

Officers responded to the scene at about 8:39 p.m. and located Morris suffering from a gunshot wound. Morris was unconscious and transported to a local hospital, where all lifesaving efforts failed, police said.
