Man Arrested In Sunday's Homicide In NW DC: Police
Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting in Northwest on Sunday.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A man has been arrested after police say he shot someone to death in Northwest D.C. on Sunday.
The shooting happened in the 1400 block of W Street NW at around 4:17 p.m., police say. Police arrested 21-year-old Duan Garmany on a charge of first degree murder while armed in the shooting death of 28-year-old Christopher Payne of Bowie, according to a report from the Metropolitan Police Department.
"[M]embers of the Third District responded to the south alley, of the listed location, for the report of a shooting," the report states. "Upon arrival, members located an unconscious adult male victim, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and determined the victim displayed no signs consistent with life."

Police say another man was shot, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
