Man Attacks, Robs Woman In Southeast: Police

WASHINGTON, DC — Police are searching for a man accused of assaulting and robbing a woman near a 7-Eleven in Southeast Washington, police said.

The incident took place at about 2:10 a.m. Monday in the 3900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Ave SE.

Police said the suspect approached the woman, assaulted her and took her cell phone. He then fled the scene.

A nearby surveillance camera captured a person of interest in this case. He can be seen in the above picture.
