Man Found Shot In Car On I-295 Ramp: Police

WASHINGTON, DC — A man suffering from a gun shot wound was found sitting in a car on the off ramp of I-295 Wednesday morning, police said.

The man was discovered inside his car on northbound Interstate 295 from Eastern Avenue (4200 block of East Capitol St. NE) shortly before 7 a.m., police said.

Police said the victim's injuries are non-life-threatening, but they have not specified his exact condition.

A lookout was issued for two suspects involved in this shooting. The first suspect is described by police as a black male last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt. The second is a black male last seen in a black shirt, police said.

The northbound ramp to I-295 from Eastern Avenue and the block of East Capitol Street are currently closed for the investigation.
