WASHINGTON, DC -- Police are searching for a man who they say killed an 11-year-old boy after a scuffle in D.C., according to reports.

Police were called to the 2700 block of Naylor Road SE at around 7 p.m. to a report of gunshots, and found 11-year-old Karon Brown suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a report from the Metropolitan Police Department. He was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.

Police are looking for a black man 20-30 years old with medium build wearing black pants and no shirt, and have posted images from a nearby surveillance camera.

WUSA9's Bruce Leshan reported that there "had been a scuffle involving adults and kids," and a "Good Samaritan picked Karon up off sidewalk and put him in car," but the man came back to the car and shot him to death anyway.
