Man Spreads Mysterious Powder In Metro Station: Police (ICYMI)
Police arrested a suspect who allegedly placed white powder on benches in a Metro station.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A man has been arrested after a bizarre incident at the Eastern Market Metro station, where cameras captured him putting an unknown white powder on benches in the station, police say.
Police released photos of the suspect on Dec. 31, saying he put the white powder on the benches and then took a train to Metro Center, where he exited via elevator.

D.C. Fire and EMS conducted tests on the powder and found that it was not hazardous. Later that day, police officers located the man in the 1000 block of H Street NW, and arrested him on multiple open warrants, Metro Transit Police tweeted. They identified him as 59-year-old Thomas S. Greene.
