March For Life 2018: Trump, Paul Ryan Address Rally (VIDEO)

The nation's biggest anti-abortion rally gathers in Washington D.C. just before the second annual Women's March.

Two days before the anniversary of the Women's March — a rally organized in opposition to the election of President Donald Trump — pro-life proponents participated in the nation's largest anti-abortion rally. The 2018 March For Life took place in Washington D.C. on Friday and several high-profile conservatives were in attendance, including Trump who appeared via video satellite. (You can watch a recap of Trump's comments below.)

The march, founded by Nellie Gray, first took place in 1974 and rally organizers say they will march every year till Roe V. Wade — the landmark Supreme Court case that recognized a woman's constitutional right to have an abortion — is overturned.

"Though the march’s slogan, “a voice for the voiceless,” refers to what participants characterize as unborn children, it might well double for the participants themselves, many of whom see their values and their faith as at odds with an increasingly secular culture," Vox.com explains. "Although Gray passed away in 2012, the March for Life organization continues to operate under president Jeanne Mancini, an author and Catholic activist."
