Things didn't quite go the Washington Nationals' way in Game 1 of a five-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series on Wednesday. The Nats lost 6-0 and had only two hits on the night, and are now down in a 1-0 hole in the series.

But there's still time to turn things around, starting with Friday night in Los Angeles for Game 2 before the series switches to D.C. Tickets are still available for the series.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:

Sports Illustrated: "The Nationals have arguably the best rotation trio in the NL—Max Scherzer, Stephen Strasburg and Patrick Corbin—but if those three are ineffective or cannot go deep enough in games, it’s going to be difficult for them to contain the Dodgers’ bats. Consider this: Only the Orioles had a worse bullpen ERA than the Nationals this season; the Yankees and Astros are the only two playoff teams that scored more runs off relievers than the Dodgers this season."

Yahoo Sports: "The Nationals come in on the heels of a thrilling wild-card game win against the Milwaukee Brewers. The victory required the usage of two of Washington’s three aces. Max Scherzer got the start and tossed five innings of three-run ball. Stephen Strasburg tossed three innings of scoreless relief. Patrick Corbin will start Game 1, but this might put Washington in a slight jam if Strasburg can’t bounce back in time to start Game 2 on Friday."

Dodgers Digest: "The Dodgers won 13 more games than the Nats, and they are rightly favored in this series. But the Nats’ 3-headed monster in the rotation, combined with a strong lineup (even without Bryce Harper), means this won’t be easy for the Dodgers. The last time they met in the postseason, it went the full five games. It wouldn’t be at all shocking if that happened again."
