WASHINGTON, DC — We're all used to trendy bars opening in D.C. with fancy $16 cocktails, but one new bar opening at Union Market is apparently going in the opposite direction, according to a report.

The Washingtonian reports that a "dive-y" bar named Last Call will open at 1301-A 4th Street NE and will aim to be an affordable drinking option for the city's cash-strapped residents already paying through the nose for rent and everything else.

The bar will offer $3 beers and will not have any drinks that cost more than $7 -- a true rarity, particularly in a trendy area like Union Market.

Bartender Gina Chersevani told Washingtonian that the idea was to create something affordable for residents because "affordability is a factor in fun."

The bar will also feature TVs, a pool table, snacks, and everything else you'd expect in a cozy dive bar.
