Ovechkin Threatened On Instagram By Red Wings Forward: Report
The brother of Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov, who was punched to the ice by Ovechkin, reportedly threatened the Caps star.

It was the punch heard 'round the hockey world: Washington Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin knocked out Carolina Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov in the first period of Game 3 of their first-round playoff matchup. Now, Svechnikov's brother reportedly has threatened Ovechkin online, and the NHL may be getting involved.
Svechnikov, 19, was knocked out of the game after getting into a fight with Ovechkin early in the contest, which the 'Canes won 5-0.
Svechnikov's older brother Evgeny, a 22-year-old forward playing for the Detroit Red Wings, used an Instagram story to threaten Ovechkin, using a line from the film A Nightmare on Elm Street (and tagging Ovechkin): "One, Two, Freddy’s coming for you."

The NHL was not impressed, with one hockey reporter noting that NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly promised an "appropriate response" for his "stupid post."
I asked NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly what’s the league reaction to Evgeny Svechnikov post on Instagram tagging Alex Ovechkin: “Stupid Post. There will be an appropriate response.” @DetroitRedWings @Capitals @NHLCanes
