Person Stranded In Potomac River Rescued By Emergency Crews

A person was rescued from the Potomac River after they got stranded on logs near Fletcher's Boat House, officials said.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A person was rescued from the Potomac River after they got stranded on logs near Fletcher's Boat House Wednesday afternoon, fire officials said.

D.C. Fire and EMS said the person was stranded north of Chain Bridge.

Rescue Squad 1 used an inflatable boat to bring the victim to shore.

The victim was uninjured and refused medical treatment, officials said.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue and The United States Park Police helped with the rescue.
