WASHINGTON, DC -- Rescuers had to pull a person who had become trapped underneath a vehicle in Northwest D.C. on Thursday.

D.C. Fire and EMS responded to the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Barry Place to a report of a crash with entrapment.

"#DCsBravest are working to extricate an individual partially trapped beneath a vehicle," D.C. Fire and EMS tweeted at 8:18 a.m.

They successfully pulled the individual from underneath the vehicle. The person was sent to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. The driver was also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
