Powdery Substance Sent To DC Building That Houses Obama's Office
The substance was determined to be harmless and the package was not addressed to anyone under Secret Service protection.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Authorities in Washington D.C. responded to the World Wildlife Fund headquarters, located at 1250 24th Street Northwest, Tuesday after a package containing a powdery substance was discovered at the building, the Secret Service said.
The building is where former President Barack Obama's D.C. office is located. In a statement, the Secret Service said a preliminary investigation revealed that the package was not addressed to a person the agency was providing protection for.
D.C. Metropolitan Police and D.C. Fire and EMS also responded to the scene to secure the area and analyze the substance. The substance was determined to be harmless.

"The Secret Service will continue to work with our law enforcement and public safety partners to further investigate this matter," the agency said.
A metropolitan police spokesperson said a call regarding the substance came in around 11:15 a.m. and the scene was cleared about an hour later.
