Southeast Washington Shooting Kills Man, Injures Another: Police
Andre Ricardo Harris, 24, died from a shooting on Savanah Terrace, SE. Another victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.

WASHINGTON, DC — Police have announced the name of the victim who died from a shooting in Southeast Washington Sunday evening. The decedent has been identified as Andre Ricardo Harris, 24, of Southeast, police said Tuesday.
Harris was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 1900 block of Savanah Terrace, SE at about 8:40 p.m. Sunday. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased after all life-saving efforts failed.
A second adult male victim was located nearby with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police currently offer a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information that leads to a conviction in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411.
