Court-Ordered Mentor Charged With Sex Abuse Of Minor: D.C. Police
A court-ordered mentor was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing the mentee multiple times throughout July and August, police said.

(Updated at 12:34 p.m. Friday) WASHINGTON, DC — A court-ordered mentor of a D.C. minor was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing the mentee multiple times throughout July and August, police said.
Police say Andrew Brooks, 28, of Indian Head, Md. picked up the 14-year-old from her home in the 3500 block of Minnesota Ave. SE multiple times in July and August.
He then drove the teen to his home in Maryland "for the purpose of engaging in criminal sexual activity," police said.

Brooks was arrested Wednesday by detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Youth and Family Services Division, Physical and Sexual Abuse Branch. He was charged with Transportation with Intent to Engage in Criminal Sexual Activity.
