Man Posing As Uber Driver Sexually Assaults Woman At AU: Police
Police arrested a man after he posed as an Uber driver and allegedly sexually assaulted a woman on American University's campus.

(Updated at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday): WASHINGTON, DC — A woman was allegedly sexually assaulted on American University's campus early Sunday by a man she thought was an Uber driver, police said.
The 21-year-old victim told police she received a ride back to the campus by a man who posed as an Uber driver.
The driver allegedly ordered her out of the car and raped her at about 3:30 a.m. outside Asbury Hall, located at 4400 Massachusetts Ave. NW.

Police arrested El Houcine Jourhdaly, 36, of Springfield, Va. Monday. He was charged with First Degree Sexual Abuse, according to a police report.
NBC Washington reports that Jourhdaly was an Uber driver in Jan. 2014, but he was suspended in 2015. Uber did not say why he was fired.

Police said Jourhdaly's car had an Uber sticker on it when he picked the victim up in DuPont Circle. The sticker was removed by the time police went to interview him at his home in Springfield, according to NBC Washington.
