A number of events are scheduled throughout the District to support those who have fought.

WASHINGTON, DC — A number of free events are scheduled throughout the District and surrounding areas the weekend of Nov. 11 to show support for those who have fought for the United States. Bring your family and stop by a few of these events.
Veterans Day Wreath Laying Ceremony
Where: The United States Navy Memorial, 701 Pennsylvania Ave NW.
When: Friday, Nov. 10 - 1 p.m.

Wreath-Laying Ceremony
Where: Vietnam Veterans Memorial, 5 Henry Bacon Dr NW.

When: Saturday, Nov. 11 - 1 p.m.
What: Honor those who served in the Vietnam War with a color guard, noted speakers and wreath-laying observances.
Vietnam: In Their Own Words
Where: Vietnam Women's Memorial at 5 Henry Bacon Dr SW.
When: Saturday, Nov. 11 - 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2-4 p.m.
What: Hear personal stories from Vietnam-era veterans and the children of veterans.
Veterans Day Observance at WWII Memorial
Where: World War II Memorial at 17th Street
When: Saturday, Nov. 11 - 9 a.m.
What: Wreath laying ceremony.
National Veterans Day Ceremony
Where: Arlington National Cemetery
When: Saturday, Nov. 11 — 11 a.m.
What: The Veterans Day National Ceremony is held every year on November 11th at Arlington National Cemetery. The ceremony starts at 11:00 a.m. with a wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns and continues inside the Memorial Amphitheater with a parade of colors by veterans' organizations and remarks from dignitaries, according to the event description.
Air Force Memorial
Where: One Air Force Memorial Drive
When: Saturday, Nov. 11 - 11 a.m.
What: This event features a wreath laying ceremony and a two-minute moment of silence to remember veterans killed during war.
Women In Military Service For America Memorial
Where: Gateway to Arlington National Cemetery
When: Saturday, Nov. 11 - 3 p.m.
What: This free ceremony honors women in the military with formal military honors, veterans' remarks, a keynote address and a wreath laying.
Arlington Veterans Day Observation
Where: Clarendon Central Park, 3140 Wilson Blvd.
When: Saturday, Nov. 11 - 11 a.m.
What: Arlington's annual Veterans Day commemoration is held at the American Legion War Memorial in Clarendon's Central Park, above the Metrorail Station. Event includes presentation of colors and remarks. VFW Post 3150 will conduct the ceremony.
National Cathedral Veterans Day Tribute Concert
Where: National Cathedral, 3101 Wisconsin Ave NW
When: Saturday, Nov. 11 - 7 p.m.
What: Washington National Cathedral will honor veterans with a concert tribute, featuring the Washington National Cathedral Singers, U.S. Marine Corps Orchestra and selections from American War Letters.
