Washington, D.C. Coronavirus Update: 145 New Cases, 6 More Deaths
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said Saturday the total number of positive coronavirus cases in the nation's capital had risen by 145.
WASHINGTON, DC — D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said Saturday the total number of positive coronavirus cases in the nation's capital had risen to 902.
Bowser said deaths from the virus increased as well.
The mayor reported six new deaths, bringing the total for Washington, D.C. to 21. The new total represents 145 additional positive coronavirus cases in the district.

Bowser issued a stay-at-home order for the District of Columbia that took effect on April 1. The order directs residents to stay home except in the case of essential activities.
Violators may face up to a $5,000 fine and 90 days in jail.
