Washington DC Cocktail Week: What You Need To Know

Area restaurants and bars will be serving up unique cocktails with dinner pairings, tastings, special events, happy hours and much more.

WASHINGTON, DC — Those looking to wet their whistles in the District should be excited for events planned in the coming weeks, as DC Cocktail Week promises to keep libations flowing with special events and activities centered around unique drinks.

DC Cocktail Week, presented by Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), returns Nov. 13-19. Residents can enjoy creative, specially paired cocktails and bites from popular restaurants around the city.

Taqueria del Barrio at 821 Upshur St NW

Petworth eatery Taqueria del Barrio serves up the satisfying combination of their new Show Me Your Pepita cocktail, made with Ilegal Reposado mezcal and housemade toasted pepita syrup, and mouthwatering carnitas tacos for $10. The pairing is available during Taqueria del Barrio’s business hours during DC Cocktail Week. Make a reservation at Taqueria del Barrio by calling 202-723-0200 or stop by at 821 Upshur St NW.

Occidental Grill & Seafood at 1475 Pennsylvania Ave NW

Occidental Grill & Seafood is offering an over-the-top pairing perfect for seafood lovers during DC Cocktail Week. Occidental will offer their Cthulhu cocktail, made with mezcal, avocado, cilantro, and chili-lime bitters garnished with lime-poached calamari and squid ink tuile, alongside octopus tacos served with fresh salsa and guacamole. Pennsylvania 6 at 1350 Eye Street NW

Pennsylvania 6’s Cocktail Week offering will have champagne lovers rejoicing! Penn 6 will be serving up their Dr. Nevillecocktail made with champagne, house-made grapefruit liqueur, Lillet Rose, and Peychaud's bitters. The bubbly cocktail will be paired with a scallop crudo marinated in a chardonnay citrus reduction, served atop fresh cucumber, and garnished with grapefruit.
