Washington DC Weather Forecast: Best Time to Get Outside This Week

It was another hot weekend with a few damaging storms, but the week's weather is expected to include calm skies and more moderate temperatures, according to forecasters.

We'll start the week off with a windy Monday that is much cooler, with a high near 85 degrees.

The best time to get outside this week will be Tuesday, with temperatures staying around 84 degrees and less winds.

We'll keep the sunny skies Wednesday, with slightly warmer temps. A warmup will begin Thursday, driving temperatures to around 90 degrees with mostly sunny skies.

Also this week, storm watchers will be monitoring a pair of storm systems in the Atlantic. As we enter the peak for the Atlantic hurricane season, forecasters are predicting a year that is more active than normal.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 85. Northwest wind around 10 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 84. Light and variable wind becoming east around 5 mph in the morning.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 87.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 93.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 91.
