WASHINGTON, D.C. — Chanting crowds in red greeted the Washington Nationals at their victory parade in Washington D.C. on Saturday.
After defeating the heavily favored Houston Astros in the 2019 World Series, the Nationals and their fans gathered in the nation's capital to celebrate the stunning victory. Naturally, fans and players sang 'Baby Shark' in celebration and the song blared over loudspeakers.

"For anyone who doesn’t believe that they’re capable of something, they should watch every single one of the Nats post season games and watch those guys come back," parade-goer Malcolm Versel, a Rockville resident, told Patch.

As "Baby Shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo" played on a crisp morning, early risers joined in with the trademark response — arms extended in a chomping motion. Chants of "Let's go Nats" resonated from the crowd hours before they were to hear from the team.
"We were just commiserating that ticket sales will go up," D.C. resident Megan Lysaght said, referring to a conversation with her friend.

"It’s nice and unifying ," Lysaght added about the parade.
Fans danced in the streets, embraced each other held signs that read "Fight Finished" and one even wore a shark costume as part of the celebrations.
