Watch Live Stream: Democratic Press Conference Targets Immigration Ban

Congressional Democrats, who have been quick to denounce the policy, will speak in front of the Supreme Court.

Democrats Chuck Schumer, the Senate minority leader from New York, and Nancy Pelosi, the House minority leader from California, will hold a press conference outside the Supreme Court Monday night at 6 p.m. Eastern to speak in opposition to President Trump's immigration ban.

The ban limiting immigration from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Libya and Yemen sparked outrage this weekend as more than 100 people, including green card holders, were detained while trying to enter the United States. Protesters against the policy quickly gathered, and Democrats joined the opposing force.

Schumer, speaking at a protest Sunday, referenced the Statue of Liberty while decrying Trump's executive order. "What we're talking about is that beautiful lady in the harbor, and why we're all here," he said.
