Michelle Obama gave the speech Friday afternoon at the White House.

WASHINGTON — Michelle Obama gave her final remarks as first lady Friday afternoon from the White House.

Obama remains one of the most popular political figures in American politics, coming off of a campaign season where she served as a rare voice of positivity and hope.

Speaking in New Hampshire in October after the release of the "Trump tapes," Obama said: "This is disgraceful. This is intolerable. And it doesn’t matter what party you belong to. No woman deserves to be treated this way. This isn’t about politics, this is about basic human decency."
