Watch: Trump Booed Loudly At World Series
Thunderous boos greeted President Donald Trump at Game 5 of the World Series in Washington on Sunday night.

WASHINGTON, DC — President Donald Trump didn't throw out the first pitch at Game 5 of the World Series at Nationals Park in D.C. on Sunday night, but he couldn't escape thunderous boos from the home crowd.
Trump, First Lady Melania Trump and several Republican leaders were shown on the big screen at the game, leading to loud and prolonged boos from the crowd. Fans also could be heard chanting "lock him up," a mocking reference to the oft-chanted phrase "lock her up" at his own rallies.
A fan could also be seen behind home plate with a "Veterans for Impeachment" sign, and an impeachment banner was visible hanging in one part of the ballpark.

Trump's visit to Nats Park reportedly created an awkward situation for the Nats' owner, Ted Lerner. WUSA's Mike Wise reported that "principal owners of the Nats had a special request of the MLB last week: They had no desire to be put in a position of turning down a request to sit with Trump."

Trump's reception was in stark contrast to the person who was chosen to throw the first pitch, D.C. chef and philanthropist José Andrés, who is himself an immigrant and a vocal Trump critic.
Not sure it gets any better than taking my @Nationals fanatic son to #WorldSeries Game 5 where humanitarian hero @chefjoseandres throws out the first pitch to Washington treasure Ryan Zimmerman. pic.twitter.com/ZfHOdHZ4l7
