Police are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman near Southwest Waterfront.

WASHINGTON, DC — Police are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman near Southwest Waterfront early Monday morning.
Police said an unknown man approached the woman from behind, pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her in the unit block of M Street, SW.
The incident occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 1:45 a.m., police said.

The suspect fled the scene on foot. He is described only as a male of unknown race, police said.
