My partner and I love to travel. And now that we live in Naples, many new places exist to explore.

But we've exhausted the Florida Keys. Why not head north? The damage from the hurricanes is behind us, making us more anxious to travel.

A selection process always goes into finding the optimum place to stay. Sometimes it's the location. Sometimes it's the price. Often, it depends on whether you are trying to redeem points. And having a nice restaurant is always a pleasant bonus for a foodie like me.

Recently, I heard about the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa, which sounded perfect. I started looking into it, and I was quite impressed. It's on the water. There are a lot of activities. And there are a few dynamic restaurants within the hotel. Plus, they have a newly renovated spa!

We’ve both been stressed out recently, so getting pampered was necessary. The reviews looked good, and their promotional offers made me want to go, especially since spa treatments in Naples are pricey.

They have 28 treatment rooms? I've had decades in the sun, so anything done to me will be an improvement. Some of these treatments are new to me, so the fact that they are discounted makes me want to try something else while I am there.

In looking into some of the other spa amenities online, it sounded like I could spend all day there. For those getting married, I'm not surprised that the resort is a great location for destination weddings.

I don't play pickleball, but my partner does, so eight courts will make her happy. I’m content sitting on the sidelines being a pickleball widow or hanging out at the pool.

A chance to try a new place is exciting for us both. We can't wait to go!
