Fort Myers condo owners locked out years after Hurricane Ian (winknews.com) — Condo owners at Seven Lakes Golf and Tennis Community in Fort Myers say they’ve been locked out of their repaired homes for more than three years after Hurricane Ian unless they sign a legal release. Some residents report living in cars or on friends’ couches while still paying mortgages, HOA fees, and utilities, and are now seeking legal help and answers from the association.
   

2. Valerie's House fundraiser brings in $641,000 (naplesnews.com) — A recent Sunset Soirée at the Family is Forever home on Valerie's House Way in Fort Myers raised $641,000 to support local children and families coping with grief. Valerie's House, founded by Angela Melvin Churchill in memory of her mother killed in a 1987 Fort Myers crash, has already helped more than 7,500 young people since 2016.
   

3. South Carolina women's basketball holding strong to top three AP poll ranking (on3.com subscription) — South Carolina’s women’s basketball team is coming to Fort Myers on Saturday to face Florida Gulf Coast University, with tip-off at 2 p.m. and streaming on ESPN+. The Gamecocks, currently ranked No. 3 nationally, are on a Florida road swing that also includes South Florida, giving local fans a rare chance to see a top powerhouse program in person.
   

4. Colonial Country Club golf course reopens after nine months (winknews.com) — Colonial Country Club’s golf course in Fort Myers has reopened to members after a nine‑month, $9 million renovation that expanded greens and eased course congestion. Residents celebrated with a ribbon-cutting and a ceremonial first tee shot by 100-year-old member Gladys Hayes, who joined dozens of neighbors eager to return to their refreshed home course.
