Aventura Yacht Bursts Into Flames

AVENTURA, FL — A yacht burst into flames overnight in Aventura not far from the Turnberry Golf Course.

The fire erupted just after 10:30 pm near 3375 N Country Club Dr., according to a spokesperson for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

“The first arriving unit found a fully involved yacht fire,” the spokesperson said. “Both land-based and firebot fire crews worked aggressively to protect the surrounding boats, while extinguishing the fire.”

The spokesperson said that no one was injured and the blaze was contained to one yacht.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation,” the spokesperson added.
