Body Discovered Along South Beach Shoreline

MIAMI BEACH, FL -- People in South Beach found the body of a man along the shoreline Thursday morning, according to Miami Beach police.

Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department said that the incident happened around 7:29 a.m. at 15 Street and the beach.

"Officers along with Fire Rescue arrived and pronounced the black male deceased on scene," said Rodriguez, adding that there were no apparent signs of foul play.

"The male was initially discovered by witnesses in the water who pulled him to shore," Rodriguez said. "The death investigation continues."

The man was not immediately identified by police. Rodriguez said the man was not a 68-year-old man who was reported missing by Miami Beach police.
