Brush Fire Breaks Out At I-75 And Turnpike
A brush fire broke out Tuesday where I-75 meets the Florida Turnpike,

MIAMI, FL -- A brush fire broke out Tuesday where I-75 meets the Florida Turnpike, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
A spokesperson for the agency said the fire started around 11:25 a.m.
"MDFR worked alongside Miramar Fire Rescue and Florida Forestry in order to contain the fire," the spokesperson said. "About 12 MDFR units responded to the call, helping to contain the fire."

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's Air Rescue unit conducted aerial surveillance to determine whether the fire was spreading.

"At no time were any structures or homes at risk since the fire was contained by adjacent canals, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby structures," the spokesperson added. "The fire has been contained and Florida Forestry remains on scene monitoring and putting out hot spots."
