Hard Rock Stadium Lights Up With Miami Pride
Hard Rock Stadium's iconic spires will be bathed in yellow, red, blue and purple lights in honor of the Pride Lights the Night.

MIAMI, FL — Hard Rock Stadium will light up with Miami Pride on Sunday night.
The stadium's iconic spires will be bathed in yellow, red, blue and purple lights in honor of the third annual Pride Lights the Night in support and remembrance of Pulse nightclub victims as well as their families and friends.
Earlier on Sunday, the Miami Dolphins will take part in the Miami Beach Pride parade, showcasing a float that marks a collaboration with SAVE and Mission Continues.

The Miami Dolphins Football Unites program has partnered with Miami Beach Pride on a series of events throughout the community, according to team officials.
“We are committed to being inclusive of the diversity and aware of the intersections that make up South Florida and look forward to connecting Miami Beach Pride with our other partners to make a long-term impact in our community,” explained Jason Jenkins, Miami Dolphins senior vice president of communications and community affairs.

Bruce Horwich, who chairs the Miami Beach Pride board of directors said the mission of Miami Beach Pride is to bring together members of the LGBTQ community and other groups in the spirit of diversity, inclusion and celebration.
"We wholeheartedly welcome the Miami Dolphins organization as a marquee partner in that mission,” Horwich said. “The addition of the stadium in our ‘Pride Lights the Night’ tribute initiative is literally a beacon in the community symbolizing unity, and we look forward to celebrating with the Dolphins at our 11th annual parade and festival on April 7th.”
The Football Unites program also includes partnerships with 4Ward Miami (Gay8 Festival), Alliance for GLBTQ Youth, Aqua Foundation for Women, Pridelines and SAVE.

SAVE Executive Director Tony Lima said the team's involvement brings him "so much joy," particularly seeing the team use its public platform to bring groups together in support of Miami Beach Pride and the LGBT community.
“This is what we are fighting for," he said. "To promote, protect and defend equality for the LGBT people in South Florida and this unity demonstrates our work in action."
Miami Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross and Dolphins players created Football Unites as a catalyst to bring about positive social change by uniting groups of different races, genders, sexual orientations, identities, abilities and faith around the power of football.
Mission Continues City Impact Manager Matt Tanner sees the alliance as a win-win partnership for his group.
“In working together with the Miami Dolphins, we have an opportunity to empower even more veterans and community members in our movement for positive community change,” Tanner said.
