Injured Worker Lowered To Safety At Miami Construction Site
WATCH as an injured construction worker is lowered from a Miami construction site in a Stokes Basket.

MIAMI, FL — An injured construction worker had to be lowered to safety in a Stokes Basket after suffering a non-life-threatening injury, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. A second construction worker, who was also injured, was able to make it to safety without special equipment.
Lt Kirsten Miller of the agency said the incident happened shortly before 4 p.m. on Tuesday at 7800 NW 29 St.
"When the first units arrived, they found two patients with non-life-threatening injuries," said Miller. "However, one patient was unable to get down from the location of the incident."

She said first responders lowered the worker to the ground in a Stokes Basket.
"They were transported by rescue to a local hospital," she said of the two injured workers.
