Lightning Strike Sparked Fire At Margate Home

The woman's handicapped son was rescued by police from the home. Two dogs were also rescued.

A Margate home was struck by lightning overnight.

The woman who lives in the home, near SW 4th Place and 65th Avenue, said she was sleeping when the lightning hit. The strike sparked a fire.

The woman’s handicapped son was rescued by police from the home. Two dogs were also rescued.
