MIAMI, FL -- A 59-year-old man from Miami was killed over the weekend when he lost control of his motorcycle along SW 8th Street and drove into oncoming traffic, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The motorcycle crashed into a truck, causing a second collision between that truck and another truck. One of the trucks jack knifed and both caught fire, troopers said. The crash occurred around 4:20 p.m. Sunday.

The driver of one of the trucks was taken to Kendall Regional Hospital with critical injuries. He was identified as 54-year-old Adalberto Roque of Miami

Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcycle slid across the highway and collided with a Chevrolet Camaro.

Florida Highway Patrol did not release the name of the motorcyclist who was killed pending notification of the next of kin. Alcohol was not a factor in the trash, according to troopers.
