1. A Miami high school security guard, 71-year-old Jorge Florencio Macia, has been arrested after he was accused of lewd conduct with a 15-year-old student. The report says the incident occured at Green Springs High School. (NBC Miami)

2. BBQ Time: Izzy's Brooklyn Smokehouse is planning a late October opening in Aventura. The restaurant will feature an open kitchen and kosher meats. (Miami New Times)

3. Police have arrested the sister of the teenager accused of killing a Hollywood police officer Yandy Chirino. She was wanted for allegedly stealing the gun that was used in the shooting. (CBS Miami)

4. A 5-story parking garage is being demolished to make way for the 41-story Miami Station tower. BG Group is the demolition contractor at Miami Station. (The Next Miami)

5. Two Miami-based investors have paid $6.5 million for a development site along the western bank of the Miami River. Development projects are increasingly moving inland. Options for the site include office-industrial and residential use with more than 300 units available. (The Real Deal)
