Missing North Miami Man Suffers From Schizophrenia
A 19-year-old North Miami man who suffers from schizophrenia has been reported missing.
NORTH MIAMI, FL — A 19-year-old North Miami man who suffers from schizophrenia has been reported missing, according to the North Miami Police Department. Kenel Metayer may be in downtown Miami.
"Kenel Metayer ran away from his parents in the area of NE 125 Street/ NE 6 Avenue," said North Miami police on Friday morning.
Metayer texted his mother saying that he was on a Miami-Dade County Metromover.

"He has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old," explained North Miami police.
Metayer is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a navy blue shirt, black shorts and brown shoes.
