Lil' Durk's arrest came on the same day five members of his hip-hop group, accused of trying to kill rapper Quando Rondo, were arrested.

Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey and Asa Houston were indicted in the Los Angeles case. Charges included conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, committing murder-for-hire resulting in death, the use of, carry and discharge of firearms and a machine gun in the furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death, WGN-TV reported.
Banks, who was reportedly a mentee of Dayvon "King Von" Bennett, created the group OTF.
What Happened?
The allegations against Banks and the others go back to November 2020, when a person with the initials "D.B." fought with someone only named in charging documents as "T.B." at an Atlanta nightclub, NBC News reported.
During the altercation, "prosecutors say an associate of T.B. pulled out a gun and shot D.B. multiple times, killing him," NBC News reported.
After the fatal shooting, a person identified in the charging documents as Co-Conspirator 1 was accused of declaring in "coded language" that they would “pay a bounty or monetary reward” to “anyone who took part in killing T.B. for his role in D.B.’s murder,” NBC News reported, citing the indictment.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Banks was the person who was suspected of announcing the bounty on Bowman's head.
Five people in August 2022 allegedly went from Chicago to Los Angeles “for the purpose of murdering T.B.,” NBC News reported. The group was accused of tracking, stalking and trying to shoot and kill T.B. with a fully automatic firearm, the news outlet reported.
Banks had flown into Los Angeles from Miami on a private jet, the Los Angeles Times reported. His credit card was used to book a hotel room where the group of five men stayed for the night before locating Bowman, the news outlet reported.
The group had ski masks and weapons, and Banks' associate rented the men a BMW sedan and an Infiniti sedan with false license plates, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Bowman was reportedly found the following day in the downtown area with his cousin, Saviay’a Robinson. Bowman arrived at a Beverly Center gas station, and three men with ski masks were accused of fatally shooting Robinson, who was standing outside of the vehicle, the Los Angeles Times reported.
A few hours passed by, and the five men were flying back to Chicago, the news outlet reported, citing an affidavit.
Banks reportedly had one-way flights booked to Dubai and Switzerland on Thursday night and was a listed passenger on a private plane headed for Italy, news outlets reported.
